8~9. Discovering Santiago de Compostela: Day 8~9(Los Arcos, Logrono)

Journey of Self-Discovery: Strengths, Tasks, and Hobbies

 

After the heavy rain, the power finally came back on. It seems to rain every time I finish work. It feels like someone might be looking out for me. As I walk along my route, my mind wanders to many thoughts. Knowing that humans tend to forget things, I make sure to jot down every thought in my notebook.

 

Utilizing my strengths: Customer service job

Tasks upon returning to Korea: English studies

Hobbies: Painting, writing, reading about space

Advice form Mr. Kim: Reading a newspaper

 

Rather than getting exhausted by thoughts without a conclusion, I consider it fortunate, considering there would be many thoughts to do in the future... The scenery along the route was breathtaking, but my feet are suffering. Is there somthing wrong with my stride?

When I glanced down at my feet suddenly, they seemed to be silently pleading for help. I felt genuinely sorry for them. While my mind was enjoying the scenery, my feet were battling hard. I plan to give them a well-deserved massage later.

 

Today, I had a heartwarming phone call with my family. Afterward, I felt warmth and happiness enveloping me, having connected with loved ones I've missed dearly. Dinner was delightful! It might have been a bit pricey, but it nourished my stomach after a long time. I savored the perfect relaxation of Europe with wine and Mr. Kim's wisdom.

 

Europe... agriculture and sightseeing are their main resources. I can't see their deeper issues, but they seem to have fewer worries compared to Korea. In a way, everything seems provided, and relaxation is abundant, but I envy them. Yet, I'm proud of Korea, the land of pioneers.

I feel like my eagerness reached Mr. Kim. I'm proud of myself. I'll follow Mr. Kim and Ms. Kim's advices once I'm back in Korea. Let's be confident!

 

The early morning walk on the Camino feels invigorating. We came out earlier than usual, scared of having to walk 27km today. Listening to English while walking is both enjoyable and fulfilling, even though concerntrating can be tough. The sky seems familiar yet exceptionally beautiful. Do we lack the time and leisure to gaze at the sky back in Korea?

 

It felt like trekking through the wilderness. Ameriacans have such abundant gestures and expressions.

Despite knowing the drawbacks of WiFi addiction, I still find myself drawn to it. We ended up having dinner at Burger King, and I must admit, I couldn't help but fall in love with it. The taste was truly remarkable.

 

We explored the city and did shopping, albeit only through window shopping. Lately, I've been grappling with my angular personality expecially in interpersonal relationships. Perhaps the book I'm reading, "The Philosopher and the Wolf," will provide some insights and guide me forward.
